Perth Presbytery
A Presbytery is a group of Church of Scotland congregations who work with each other, support each other and learn from each other.
It is a diverse Presbytery, made up of three of Scotland’s cities, a large number of towns and villages, along with many rural congregations.
The Presbytery meets for ordinary business four times per year in Hybrid format (in person and via Zoom) at St Matthew’s Parish Church in Perth and it also meets at other times (e.g. for conferences, ordinations and inductions of ministers etc.) as determined by the Presbytery.
The Presbytery of Perth is part of the Church of Scotland and comprises of 115 congregations. Each congregation is represented by ministers, deacons and elders who take part in local decision making. We meet to worship, learn, share and make administrative decisions. Our meetings are open to the public apart from occasional private items. In between meetings a variety of committees deal with the ongoing business of the Presbytery. Our meetings are chaired by a ‘Moderator’ who is elected each year.

Start Up Stirling
Supporting Our Community
Together we can make a difference to help local people who are going through a difficult time. Our project is focused on relieving poverty, suffering and distress of people in crisis across the Stirling Council area
People all across the Stirling Council area find themselves in financial difficulty, poverty or crisis. It can happen to anyone—people find themselves in difficulty, unexpectedly, more often than you might think.
Ongoing rising costs, particularly of food and domestic fuel, have an acute effect on low income households. People in rural areas typically need to spend between 10% and 20% more on everyday requirements than those in urban areas. The more remote the area, the greater are these additional costs.
Losing paid employment, receiving an unexpected high bill, going through a family breakdown, being ill and losing pay or benefit delays can all cause people to experience financial difficulty, food poverty or homelessness.
